Following the Supreme Court’s decision earlier this month, the Biden administration is withdrawing its Covid-19 vaccination and testing regulation for large businesses. The regulation was issued as an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) on November 5, 2021, requiring businesses with 100 or more employees to ensure their workers were fully vaccinated or undergo regular Covid-19 testing. If it had been approved, it would have affected 80 million individuals.
The withdrawal is effective today, Wednesday, January 26th. OSHA continues to strongly encourage vaccination of workers.
