The Maryland Cannabis Commission recently issued responses to Frequently Asked Questions that include guidance for employers regarding recreational marijuana. The state’s marijuana law went into effect on July 1st of this year. According to the guidance, employers may continue to test and discipline employees for marijuana use. Specifically, it notes “individuals remain subject to any existing laws and workplace policies on substance or cannabis use.”
