San Francisco’s Fair Chance Ordinance (“FCO”), as amended, has been in effect since October 1, 2018. The FCO notice required for employers (with five or more employees) and city contractors to post where employees can easily read has now been updated by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. The updated version is much shorter than the original, while the content remained consistent.
San Francisco employers and background screening companies should ensure they are now using the updated version.
