Reminder to Employers to Save Older E-Verify Records Before Deletion

e-verify

Effective June 24, 2023: U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will dispose of E-Verify records that are more than ten years old (created on or before December 31, 2012). This is part of a routine data retention policy that is intended to reduce the amount of data stored in the system and ensure that it remains up to date.

Employers have until June 23 to download and retain information about their older E-Verify records, which may be needed in the future for legal or compliance purposes. To do so, employers can log in to their E-Verify account, download their Historical Records (created by USCIS with information about each E-Verify case that will be deleted), and store them in a secure location.
